The NHL runs two contests each year. First there is the Postal Contest which is for amateur harmonica players, and has several sections in which a player may compete, and a section for composers of harmonica music. All entries must be recieved by August 31st, each year. This is open to members and non-members anywhere in the world. For players who would like to compete to become harmonica player of the year in one or more classes, there is the NHL Annual Contest. This is held during our Annual Festival, each year, usually in October. It provides a wonderful opportunity to test yourself, and to gain stage experience in a possibly stressful situation. Or you can enter just for fun! You might be surprised to find out how good you are!
