It was a very enjoyable event with over 100 people taking part. Many thanks to the organisers, Dave Taylor and Mat Walklate.

The Band On The Wall and the National Harmonica League (NHL) - invite you to a Harmonica Day in Manchester from 1-5pm on Sunday 18 April.

Come along and hear internationally-known harp player Mat Walklate talk about beginning harmonica, and about improving, and some tips for advanced players.

Special guests will help perform all different styles of harmonica music- folk, roots (including Irish, Klezmer etc), world, blues, rock, country, jazz, classical.

There will be open jam sessions with top live musicians- you can join in too. Plus trade stands.

Click here to find more information about NHL etc.

Whether you are a harmonica expert, beginner, just curious, or simply love good music, you'll have a great time. Hear great music- be inspired- see how versatile the humble mouth organ is- meet other musicians- and help us celebrate the fantastic instrument that is the harmonica.

Eagle Music will be have a harmonica shop at the festival.

The recently-refurbished Band On The Wall is an internationally-famous live music venue, with full disabled access, the bar will be open, and the cafe-bar will have food and hot drinks. The Band On The Wall will be starting their own harmonica evening classes soon, so you can find out more about that.

Your £5 entry ticket is also your free raffle ticket- you might win one of our great new harmonicas!

Family ticket £6.50 adult plus 1 or 2 children is great value, and you're in the raffle too of course. £3 NUS/UB40.
